Ronan Foley
Growing up in Ireland, we don’t exactly grow up in the bush, so I decided to change that and moved my life to Southern Africa. I qualified as a guide and spent my time travelling and guiding my way around, which gave me the chance to properly experience the bush rather than just passing through. These days I help people discover Africa. I don’t think there’s a one-size-fits-all trip, every journey ends up being a bit different depending on who’s travelling. Wildlife is obviously a big part of it for me and always will be but Africa has a lot more going on than just the headline sightings. People often go for the big moments but it’s often the quieter parts of a trip that stay with them long after they’re home.
