Best time to go to South Africa

South Africa is a year-round destination with excellent weather conditions. The best time to visit can depend on your activity of choice. Lengthy summer days are best spent at the stunning Cape beaches, while both whale watching and game viewing are best in the dry winter months. On the south coast, visitors can expect wetter winters but enjoy various outdoor activities in the Mediterranean climate summer, while the north-eastern coast’s subtropical climate and surrounding savannah plains offer humid summers which are ideal for birding.
