La mejor época para visitar Kenia es durante la estación seca, que suele durar de julio a octubre. Durante este periodo, el avistamiento de animales es excelente, ya que estos tienden a permanecer cerca de las fuentes de agua. También es el momento ideal para presenciar la migración de los ñus en el Masái Mara. Las temperaturas son más frescas durante la estación seca y las zonas costeras ofrecen un clima soleado y agradable. Sin embargo, de diciembre a marzo también es una época ideal para visitar el país, ya que durante este periodo proliferan las crías de animales y aumenta la actividad de los depredadores, además de que se pueden observar aves migratorias. No obstante, las fuertes lluvias entre marzo y mayo pueden dificultar los desplazamientos por carretera.
