Designed by Dereck Joubert, Sitatunga Private Island is a stunning, intimate sanctuary celebrating the ancient fishing cultures of the Okavango Delta. Entirely surrounded by crystal-clear delta waterways, the camp features giant woven basket-like lounges nestled high within an ancient ebony forest canopy. The property embraces a rich "blue water" design theme accented by rare vintage Persian carpets, custom blue trade-bead curtains, and breezy flowing linens. Guests can enjoy private specialized boating safaris on custom photographic vessels with swivel seats, traditional poled mokoro excursions, guided island walking safaris, tag-and-release fishing, an interactive wine cellar, and dining menus paying homage to Botswana's river people.

4Tucked away on a completely independent section of the private island away from the main camp walkways, this palatial 2-bedroom suite acts as its own self-contained private retreat. It features a grand central dining room and an open lounge pavilion draped with flowing linens, trade-beaded dividers, and rich blue textures. Branching off from either side of this central living area are two identical luxury master suites. Each master wing features its own private open-air entrance, an en-suite bathroom with dual hot-and-cold porcelain vanities, a flush toilet, an indoor shower, and a beautiful copper ball-and-claw bath. Outside, a massive shared wooden entertainment deck wraps around the front of the villa, hosting undercover outdoor dining tables, daybed salas, and a large private swimming pool directly overlooking the lagoon where rare aquatic sitatunga antelopes feed in the reeds. Booking the Sitatunga Private Island Suite automatically provides guests with fully private boating activities, dedicated island walking excursions, a private host, a private butler, and an exclusive-use delta boat and elite tracking guide.
