Nestled on a private island in the Jao Reserve of the Okavango Delta, Jacana Camp is a hotspot for aquatic biodiversity. The camp offers exceptional game viewing of hippos, crocodiles and families of elephants who wade through the clear waterways. The camp also enjoys a flurry of waterbirds, including their namesake — the jacana — along with Pel’s fishing owl and the wattled crane. Guests can enjoy safaris in all shapes and forms — from day and night to walking and even boat safaris, before relaxing in the open-air camp with all the comforts of home. Through their involvement in the Children in the Wilderness initiative, Jacana partners with Pack for a Purpose and the Tubu Joint Management Committee.
