An owner-run eco-friendly lodge en route to the Fish River Canyon
Alte Kalköfen Lodge is set in a beautifully natural Namibian desert garden, surrounded by vast open spaces combined effortlessly with the rocky desert. Named after the old lime kiln nearby, the lodge was restored from an old farmhouse located between Keetmanshoop and Lüderitz. Guests can go for guided nature walks, hikes or drives, watch wild animals like springbok and gemsbok at the nearby waterhole, cool off in the swimming pool or relax on the verandah with a sundowner. The rooms with their floor-to-ceiling windows, are a refreshing respite from the day’s activities and include an extra outside shower for the adventurous.
