A warm and characterful lodge at the foot of the Sossusvlei dunes
Kulala Desert Lodge is located on the 37.000 ha Kulala Wilderness Reserve in the Namib Desert and offers comfortable thatched and canvas rooms with expansive desert views. Gravel pathways lead to the inviting main area that features living and dining areas, a pool, and a wraparound veranda overlooking a waterhole. Guests can access the Sossusvlei dunes through an exclusive gate and explore the long-lived surroundings with game drives, biking, and guided walks. The camp is powered by a hybrid system of solar energy and a diesel-powered generator, and each tent has its own solar geyser. Kulala Desert Lodge also prioritises conserving and reducing through water-efficient devices and energy-efficient lights and appliances.
