Experience a thriving game reserve from above in luxury treetop tents

High above the ground, Tree Tops Safari Lodge’s elegant en-suite tents will reward you with an immersive experience of the thickly-wooded valley they are in. Not only will you feel right at home, but you’ll also feel entirely enveloped by the African bushveld. Spot regular elephants, nyala, and birdlife from your private veranda, or catch some sun in the swimming pool. These treetop tents were built to blend into the surroundings and minimise the impact on the vegetation. Spoil yourself with this serene getaway in Lalibela Game Reserve while giving back to the land, animals and the wider community through their conservation and community upliftment projects.

Best time to go to Eastern Cape Game Reserves

Best
Good
Acceptable
The Eastern Cape has a Goldilocks climate – not too hot, not too cold – with plenty of sunshine, making it a prime year-round destination. The best time to visit for wildlife viewing is in the dry winter season from May to September as the foliage is sparse and animals flock to water sources. The winter nights can be very cold, so you will need your fleece and beanie. Between October and April, reserves are busier owing to the warm weather. You can also enjoy an abundance of baby animals, spring flowers and migratory birds during this period.
