Settled in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Highlands is a secluded safari camp on the slopes of the Olmoti volcano and offers breathtaking views that stretch to the Serengeti. Explore the area on a Ngorongoro Crater game drive after which you can enjoy a gourmet lunch in the wilderness amongst a canopy of large trees. Alternatively, trace the ancient Massai cattle trail on the Olmoti nature walk or take a half-day trip to see the magnificent verdant Empakaai Crater. Guests can also visit a local Maasai community and learn about a rich pastoral heritage. Through the AsiliaGiving initiative, all cultural visits are aimed at uplifting local communities.
