Bush retreat just 5 minutes from the heart of Windhoek
“Feel the pulse of the city from the heart of the bush-veld.”
River Crossing Lodge is situated on the airport road (B6) and is only 5 minutes from the heart of Windhoek. The lodge sits on top of a koppie on a pristine 6500-hectare reserve, offering unparalleled sunset views. The main lodge building comprises a dining room, a centrally situated bar, a lounge with a fireplace, and a curio corner. Nestled outside between the lounge and dining area are the lap pool and elevated wooden deck that stretches out under the sun. At centre stage, in full view of the main deck stand the Moltkeblick Mountain in contrast to the blanket of flickering city lights of Windhoek.

Namibia is best visited between May and October when safari viewing is at its best. Between the winter months of May and July, daytime temperatures are moderate, while nights can get quite cold, so remember to pack a warm jacket. The veld fills with baby animals during the summer months of November and December. This is also an excellent time for birders as many migrant bird species have returned. The rainy season is from November to April, resulting in dramatic thundershowers and even desert flooding.
