Best time to go to One&Only Gorilla's Nest
For optimal viewing and gentle weather, the best time to visit is from June to September, during Rwanda’s dry season when trails are firm, skies are bright and mountain gorilla tracking is at its finest. The months of December and January also offer excellent conditions with clearer days and fewer crowds. From March to May, you’ll experience lush landscapes and fewer visitors, though the mountain trails may be more slippery and the skies cloud-covered. Whichever period you choose, layering a visit here into your safari itinerary ensures you’ll capitalise on both the extraordinary wildlife and the refined comforts of your stay—while taking full advantage of one of Africa’s most dramatic natural playgrounds.
