Bespoke tented accommodation a short distance from world-famous Twyfelfontein in Damaraland

In the heart of Namibia’s epic Damaraland region and just a short distance from the historic Twyfelfontein rock paintings, Malansrus Tented Camp offers the ideal accommodation for guests wishing to explore the area. The 9 en-suite tents and main tent were built under large and shady mopane trees, offering respite from the heat of the day, while the large patios boast stunning views of the surrounding granite koppies. Guests can enjoy a delicious meal in the dining room, relax by the bar, or take a dip in the sparkling pool. At night, the fire pit is the perfect location for stargazing and reminiscing over the day’s game drive highlights.

Best time to go to Damaraland

You’ll be relieved to hear that the dramatic and glorious Damaraland is a year-long destination! However, the best time to visit is in May through to September, due to animals frequenting waterholes, so you’ll be spoiled with especially rare sightings. If you want Damaraland all to yourself, avoid visiting in July to September when some places can get rather busy. From October to January things can get heated during the day, so come prepared with clothes to stay cool and enough water to hydrate you during your daily experiences!
