A traditional African safari-style lodge nestled atop a hillside in the bush

Located in the lush Lalibela Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape, Lentaba Safari Lodge has an atmosphere that encourages laid-back relaxation in a true safari setting. Straddling 5 ecosystems, the reserve is adorned with an abundance of diverse flora and fauna. A stay here gives back by supporting Lalibela Game Reserve’s conservation efforts and community enrichment. Moreover, the absence of malaria in the area makes Lentaba a fantastic year-round destination. The lodge itself offers guests stunning views of the surroundings, as well as the occasional up-close elephant visitor. Guests to the lodge can enjoy twice-daily game drives included in their stay, as well as all meals and drinks.

Best time to go to Eastern Cape Game Reserves

The Eastern Cape has a Goldilocks climate – not too hot, not too cold – with plenty of sunshine, making it a prime year-round destination. The best time to visit for wildlife viewing is in the dry winter season from May to September as the foliage is sparse and animals flock to water sources. The winter nights can be very cold, so you will need your fleece and beanie. Between October and April, reserves are busier owing to the warm weather. You can also enjoy an abundance of baby animals, spring flowers and migratory birds during this period.
