Beautiful camping accommodation on a 21.000 ha farm in Etusis Nature Reserve
The Etusis Nature Reserve covers more than 21,000 hectares, at an altitude of roughly 1,200 metres, and embraces a stretch of the Otjipatera Mountain range. You are welcome to the Lodge's excellent accommodation, and to take part in an unequaled range of outdoor activities like scenic and sundowner drives and horse-riding for beginners and experienced riders. It is safe for walking on hiking trails with or without a guide offering unique opportunities of sighting a variety of mammals, birds and insects. If you prefer, you can just relax in the idyllic surroundings. You can enjoy a swim. The accommodation ranges from homely, comfortable bungalows, to luxury tents and a farmhouse for self-catering. The Lodge is also home to the Etusis to conserve the endangered Hartmann's Mountain Zebra and your hosts are always delighted to explain it and to answer your questions. Hospitality is at its very best here and everyone feels at home the instant they arrive. Hardly surprising, therefore that Etusis Lodge has received a Gold Award from the Hospitality Association of Namibia (HAN) almost every year since 2000. Etusis Campsite is situated opposite the C32 about 20 km from the Lodge. It is a beautiful place with lots of shade and a neat ablution block with warm water showers. Best time to go to Erongo Region
The best time to visit the Erongo Region is during the autumn and winter months (March-September), when the desert temperatures are more hospitable, with sunny days and cool nights. Alternatively, December at the coast is made up of warm beach days with misty mornings and cool nights, as well as Atlantic Ocean waters that are not quite as icy as usual.
