Dinaka is located within a vast and exclusive private reserve that spans over 35,000 hectares (86,500 acres) and embraces the northern frontier of the Central Kalahari. This ancient, diverse thirstland offers sanctuary to a rich mosaic of biodiversity, including desert specials such as the black-maned Kalahari lion, springbok, oryx, the feisty honey badger and enigmatic brown hyena – all of which are often sighted from the camp’s waterhole.
