Located on a working farm 7 km outside Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo, De Zeekoe is a lovely guesthouse with a variety of luxurious rooms and cottages. Surrounded by the famous Swartberg and Outeniqua mountains, De Zeekoe is centred in the middle of 3 overlapping flower zones – an area that is one of the world’s 17 flora hotspots. De Zeekoe offers an intriguing ‘meerkat tour’ in which guests can observe these shy creatures as they go about their day. Other activities include visits to nearby ostrich farms, the longest wine route in the world (the R62), the Cango caves and more. De Zeekoe supports the local community through De Zeekoegat Primary School.

The Guesthouse Superior Mountain View Rooms are large rooms with balconies looking out onto the Outeniqua Mountains. Indoor fireplaces and warm blankets offer comfortable, cosy stays in winter. Essential amenities include an en-suite bathroom with bathtub, Wi-Fi, coffee and tea facilities, fridges and hair dryers.
The Standard Double Rooms are ideal for one night’s stay, including breakfast, and are fully equipped with all the necessary amenities like an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, safe, hairdryer, and Wi-Fi. Secure parking is available on-site at the main house.
The 2 Guesthouse Superior Honeymoon Suites are large open-plan bedrooms with king-size beds, an inside fireplace, and a lounge. The full en-suite bathrooms come with open-air showers. These rooms have stunning views of the surrounding mountains and are equipped with hairdryers, fridges, bathrobes as well as complimentary wine and sherry.
The 3 Private Cottages are only a short 2 km walk from the main house and offer guests breathtaking views of the mountains. Each cottage has been meticulously incorporated into the surrounding Karoo field and includes creature comforts such as an inside and outside fireplace, coffee and tea station, mini bar fridge, safe, Wi-Fi, and private deck.
The Guesthouse Luxury Rooms are tastefully decorated, each leading out onto a cool verandah from where guests can enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding Outeniqua and Swartberg mountains. The Manor House is a luxurious self-catering family villa that can sleep up to 6 people, only a few metres from the main house. It consists of 3 en-suite bedrooms, and includes free Wi-Fi, inside and outside barbeque, lounge, dining area, and kitchen. Guests can make use of the swimming pool.
