Chacma Bush Camp is set within the Maseke Balule Game Reserve, an 8.000 ha private game reserve that shares open borders with the Kruger National Park. Accommodating a total of 10 people in thatch chalets that have been designed to echo the natural ambience of the reserve, Chacma is a family-friendly camp that offers its guests an authentic and intimate safari experience. Guests can look forward to up-close sightings of the Big 5 during guided early morning and afternoon game drives or from the waterhole found under the camp’s patio and pool deck area. The best time to spot wildlife in the Greater Kruger Region is during the dry season, which typically falls between May and September. This wintertime season offers the best opportunity to spot the wildlife as the animals are drawn to the waterholes and other sources of water and the vegetation is less dense. During this time, the days are warm and the nights are cooler. The summer months have more rainfall and the green landscapes provide a stunning backdrop for photos. Plenty of young animals and their predators are present and bird watching is particularly enjoyable.
