Family-friendly bush camp located within the Maseke Balule Game Reserve
Chacma Bush Camp is set within the Maseke Balule Game Reserve, an 8.000 ha private game reserve that shares open borders with the Kruger National Park. Accommodating a total of 10 people in thatch chalets that have been designed to echo the natural ambience of the reserve, Chacma is a family-friendly camp that offers its guests an authentic and intimate safari experience. Guests can look forward to up-close sightings of the Big 5 during guided early morning and afternoon game drives or from the waterhole found under the camp’s patio and pool deck area. Watching the sun set over the wilderness while enjoying sundowners from a lookout point is the perfect way to celebrate your South African adventure.
Best time to go to Kruger Central
Like the rest of the park, Kruger Central enjoys rainy summers and dry winters. During the summer months (November to February), the area is lush with greenery and a spoil of baby animals, which makes it a fantastic time of year for a photographic safari. The winter months (May to August) allow for easily spotting animals, due to vegetation thinning out and water sources being scarce.
Steenbok Chalet is located next to the main area and sleeps 4 people in a large double bed and 1 sofa bed. Fitted with an expansive bathroom, the main bedroom flows through to a furnished patio that offers a direct view of the waterhole.
Grysbok Chalet has 2 separate bedrooms, both equipped with crisp linen and mosquito netting. The first sleeps 2 adults in a double bed and the other 2 children in a bunk bed. The chalet features an en- suite bathroom, a large indoor shower and a veranda overlooking the pool.
Klipspringer Chalet is perfect for families or friends travelling together. Sleeping a maximum of 4 adults or 2 adults and 4 children, this chalet has 1 king-size bed, a sleeper couch and 2 stretcher beds. The chalet offers a view of the wilderness and an en-suite bathroom with an outdoor shower.
