At Basecamp Wilderness you’ll wake to golden savannah light spilling across the rim of the saddle valley. Tucked into the Naboisho Conservancy within the Masai Mara ecosystem, this intimate tented camp revives the spirit of early-safari adventure while embracing modern comfort and community-led conservation. Each of the seven secluded tents features crisp linens, private bathroom, and a deck poised over wide plains. Shared dining under stars, walking safaris, night drives and deep engagement with Maasai culture complete the experience. The camp’s ethos is rooted in sustainability and connection — every stay supports local families, protects wildlife corridors and invites guests to rediscover nature on deeper terms.

2Each of the 5 tents has been delicately placed around the Saddle Valley rim to allow for complete privacy and ultimate views of the savannah. Each tent offers either a king-size or twin bed, an en-suite bathroom fitted with an eco-friendly bio-flush toilet and a bucket shower with hot water on request. Further opportunities to gaze out over the plains are provided by the seating area on the private terrace.

3•4The newly added family tent offers the perfect blend of comfort and style accommodating up to four guests. Elevated on a wooden platform, the spacious tent features two separate wings, each with its own bedroom, bathroom, and private verandah. Each room can be fitted with a king-size or twin bed while the bathrooms, equipped with bucket showers, are positioned at opposite ends of the tent for added privacy. Beautifully furnished with comfortable beddings and thoughtful details, the tent opens onto a large shared deck, providing a welcoming space for families or groups to relax and connect while enjoying uninterrupted views of the rolling plains of Naboisho Conservancy.
