Best time to go to Basecamp Masai Mara
The Masai Mara is a year-round safari destination, with each season offering a different experience. From July to October, the Great Migration transforms the plains as vast herds of wildebeest and zebra cross the Mara River, closely followed by predators. The dry months also provide excellent game viewing along the Talek River. From November to February, the landscape is greener, birdlife flourishes, and the reserve is less crowded, making for a more tranquil safari. During the long rains in April and May, the scenery is lush and dramatic, with fewer visitors and a more exclusive atmosphere.
