Best time to go to Serengeti National Park North
The best time to visit the Northern Serengeti is from July to October, when the Great Migration reaches the Mara River and river crossings create some of Africa’s most dramatic wildlife encounters. These months are considered peak season, with lodges and camps filling quickly. Outside of migration, the region is rewarding year-round, with resident game, Big Cats, and excellent birdwatching, making it one of the quieter corners of the Tanzania safari circuit. The low season, from November to June, brings fewer visitors, lush scenery, and steady wildlife, making it ideal for travellers seeking exclusivity.
