Settled in the eastern part of the Okavango Delta, between Chobe National Park and Moremi Game Reserve, is 200.000 ha of pristine wilderness teeming with all sorts of game. Khwai's terrain ranges from grassland plains and flowing rivers to mopane tree woodland and delta channels. Each part is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife, from awe-inspiring herds of elephants to close-knit family packs of wild dogs and elusive leopards. This concession is carefully protected by the community and as a rehabilitated hunting area, the prolific number of animals are no longer nervous of human visitors, making Khwai Private Concession the ultimate safari destination.

Best time to go to Khwai Private Concession
Situated in the northern section of Botswana, the Khwai Private Concession is subject to hot and rainy summers, usually between November and March. This green season is the best time to spot migrating birds and baby animals. However, many lodges close during these months, so do reach out to us so that we can check before you book. The dry season, between April and October, is the prime time to spot animals that come down to water sources. It is also when the Delta floods which makes it a great time for water-based activities.
