Best time to go to Zanzibar West
The best time to visit the Zanzibar West Coast is during the dry seasons from June to October and December to February, when the beaches are most inviting, sunsets are clear, and conditions are perfect for snorkelling, diving, and dhow safaris. These months are also ideal for exploring Stone Town and visiting nearby spice plantations without heavy rains. The wetter months of March to May and November bring lush scenery and quieter sites, but some boat trips and beach activities may be affected by rougher seas. For travellers pairing culture and coast, the dry season ensures the smoothest experience on the West Zanzibar beaches.
