An iconic location of the Great Migration, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and Tanzania’s oldest national park
The Serengeti has long been lauded as a truly life-changing safari experience, a place of legend where the sheer mass of animals will call a vibration that you can feel in the ground you stand on. This national park is home to a tremendous 2 million ungulates — including zebra and wildebeest — along with the predators that hunt them – including 4000 lions, 1000 leopards and 550 cheetahs, not to mention the crocodiles that wait in the rivers and around 500 bird species. From the sun-soaked plains to vast riverine canyons and rocky outcrops, this diverse landscape is also the seat of an ancient history of our own human race, as well as the famed Maasai people.
