Best time to go to Samburu
The best time to visit Samburu National Reserve is during the dry seasons from June to October and December to March, when wildlife is easiest to spot as animals gather around the Ewaso Ng’iro River. These months offer clear skies, comfortable temperatures, and excellent game viewing. While the rainy seasons (April–May and November) bring lush landscapes and fewer crowds, they can also make roads muddy and wildlife more challenging to find. For the ultimate safari experience, plan your trip during the dry months when Samburu’s unique wildlife is most active.
