Best time to go to Rufiji River Delta
The best time to visit Nyerere National Park and the Rufiji River Delta is during the dry season, from June to October, when wildlife congregates along the shrinking water channels and boat safaris offer exceptional game viewing. This period also provides clear skies, pleasant temperatures, and minimal rain — perfect for photography and fishing safaris. The green season, from November to March, transforms the Rufiji floodplains into a lush birding haven, attracting migratory species and offering striking contrasts of emerald and gold. April and May are quieter, with some camps closing due to heavy rains.
