Best time to go to Morogoro Region
The best time to visit the Morogoro Region is during the dry season from June to October, when the weather is clear and ideal for Uluguru Mountains hiking, Udzungwa trekking, and Mikumi safaris. Trails are firm, wildlife is easier to spot, and the highlands are cool and comfortable. The green season, from November to May, brings lush scenery and flowing waterfalls, making it perfect for photographers and birdwatchers drawn to the area’s rich biodiversity. Although some routes may become muddy, it’s a peaceful time for cultural tours and relaxation in the eco lodges scattered across the foothills.
