The best time to visit Funzi Island is between July and October and December to March, when the skies are clear, seas calm, and temperatures ideal for mangrove boat tours, kayaking, and dolphin watching. During these months, visibility for snorkelling is excellent, and the famous sandbank picnics can be enjoyed under perfect sunshine. The green season from April to June brings occasional rain but transforms the landscape into lush tropical scenery—ideal for photographers and travellers seeking solitude.
