Dar es Salaam is best visited in the dry season between late June and October when the weather is dry and the days are sunny, perfect for beach visits. This is also the best time for game-viewing in the nearby parks. December and January in the city can be quite hot and humid. There are usually rains in November before the proper rainy season starts in April and continues through to May.
