The oldest and most biodiverse national park in Botswana
Named after the river that runs through it, Chobe National Park is a spectacular wildlife destination located in the northern part of Botswana. The park covers around 11.700 km2 and is one of the most popular national parks in Africa. The Chobe is characterised by myriad waterways and lush riversides that attract scores of animals, including herds of antelope and vast families of elephants, trailed closely by stealthy predators like lions and African wild dogs. During the dry season, the park's grasslands are a popular gathering place for herds of elephants.

Best time to go to Chobe National Park
Chobe National Park is a year-round destination, with ample wildlife to be seen in every season. A great time for game viewing is from August to October, although it can get quite hot during this time. The dry winter months between May and October are the best times to visit the riverfront and also offer up plenty of wildlife. During the rainy season from November to April, many animals will migrate to the Savuti Marsh. This is also a fantastic time for bird-watching.
