The climate in Akagera is tropical and humid. The best time to visit is during 1 of the 2 the dry seasons, the first is from June to September and the second from December to February. This is when the animals are most active and the weather is the most pleasant. The wet seasons run from October to November and March to May, and this is when the area is at its most lush, though the rainfall can make it difficult to access certain areas
