Viatu, a leading travel startup of sustainable trips, today announced that it has achieved B Corporation™ certification, joining an exclusive group of companies that are committed to continuously improving their business practices and using business as a force for good.
B Corporations are businesses that meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. There are currently only 43 travel-related B Corporations in the world, and Viatu is one of only two travel companies in Switzerland to achieve this certification.
“We are incredibly proud to be recognized as a B Corporation,” said Alfredo Seideman, CEO & founder of Viatu. “This certification is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and our belief that businesses can be a powerful force for positive change.”
Viatu underwent a rigorous assessment process to be a B Corporation. The company was evaluated on its governance, environmental impact, community engagement, and worker well-being.
“Achieving B Corporation certification was a significant undertaking that took us over a year to complete,” said Alfredo Seidemann. “But we are committed to doing everything we can to make a positive impact on the world, and we believe that B Corporation certification is a valuable recognition of our efforts.”
