An intimate lodge located on a 250-ha private game reserve

Set on the outskirts of Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta, Thamo Telele is based on owners Jerry and Jana Lackey’s passion for Botswana. The Lackeys are stewards of the Thamo Telele Private Reserve and founders of the Love Botswana Outreach Mission, an organisation that creates life-changing programs to uplift the local community. The name of the lodge means ‘long neck’ in Setswana, a reference to the lodge’s resident giraffe herd. Nestled near the Thamalakane River, the lodge can accommodate up to 22 guests with enough space for relaxation. Guests can enjoy spotting plains animals, giraffes, and the myriad bird species that frequent the surroundings.
