A safari-tented camp perfectly positioned along Linyanti Wildlife Reserve’s Savuti Channel
Nestled along the banks of the Savuti Channel in the epic Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, Savuti is a luxury tented-camp matched perfectly with its pristine natural surroundings. While guests have the opportunity to experience the great concentrations of wildlife that inhabit the area, a stay at the lodge additionally benefits the land and local people. Sample traditional dishes made with fresh produce sourced from local communities, best enjoyed in the thatched dining area in the bush next to the channel or in the boma area under the stars. Ideal for families, Savuti offers a wealth of entertainment, with the hide perfect for searching for wildlife at your own pace or an unforgettable night of stargazing from the sleep-out deck.
Best time to go to Botswana
Botswana's climate ranges from arid to semi-arid and is marked by hot and rainy summers, usually between November and March. This ‘green’ season is the best time to spot migrating birds, predators, and baby animals. However, many lodges in the Okavango Delta close during these months, so do check before you book. The dry season, between April and October, is the prime time to spot animals as they frequent water sources. This is also when the Delta floods, making it a great time for water-based activities. These months are a fantastic time to visit the salt pans, which will be dry from about June to September.
The canvas-and-thatch Family Unit has 2 en-suite bedrooms with separate entrances and a shared outdoor deck. The unit is raised and perfectly positioned to make the most of the views of the Savuti Channel flowing past the camp.
Each of Savuti’s en-suite Standard Tents come with either twin or double beds, and a verandah. The canvas-and-thatch tents are raised and perfectly positioned to make the most of the views of the Savuti Channel flowing past the camp. Amenities include fans, safes, mosquito nets and tea and coffee facilities.
