Nxamaseri Island Lodge sits on a secluded private island in the Okavango Panhandle, surrounded by the shimmering channels and permanent swamp of Botswana’s iconic delta. Days begin with mokoro excursions through shallow waterways and boat safaris exploring deeper lagoons, giving you close-ups of dolphin-like fish, birdlife, and riverine forest life. Guided bush walks across neighbouring islands reveal quiet wildlife and forest dwellers. Chalets perch on raised teak decks under forest canopy, each with its own private viewing deck where stillness and starlight dominate. Meals are served under open skies, the pool is tucked away for tranquil dips, and evenings unfold around crackling campfires.

Each evening will see guests’ beds turned down and if there is a chill in the air, hot water bottles are tucked in under the blankets as a welcome surprise for tired guests.
