The best time to spot wildlife in the Greater Kruger Region is during the dry season, which typically falls between May and September. This wintertime season offers the best opportunity to spot the wildlife as the animals are drawn to the waterholes and other sources of water and the vegetation is less dense. During this time, the days are warm and the nights are cooler. The summer months have more rainfall and the green landscapes provide a stunning backdrop for photos. Plenty of young animals and their predators are present and bird watching is particularly enjoyable.
